MOT testing

An MOT is a legal requirement for all vehicles over 3 years old. Everything from the brakes to bodywork and suspension to lights are
check once a year. Exhaust Emissions are also checked, and any car fitted with a catalytic converter (All cars from 1995 onwards have
one fitted) have to have the Emission levels checked:

• CO (Carbon monoxide) 0.5%
• HC (HydroCarbons) 200ppm (parts per million).

At Loughborough Kia we have two fully qualified class IV M.O.T testers. Class VI vehicles are: Cars, Motor Caravans, Dual purpose Vehicles, PSV's (up to 8 seats), Goods Vehicles (up to 3000kg), Ambulances, Taxis and Private Passenger vehicles with 9-12 seats.
